Avanafil is an oral fast-acting and highly selective phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE-5) inhibitor used to treat male erectile dysfunction. Its original research was Tanabe Mitsubishi Pharmaceuticals, which authorized the development of Vivus of the United States. In April 2012, avanafil was approved for listing in the United States.
